Your Moving Day Checklist

4-6 Weeks Before

Book your ShiftMe move date, start decluttering room by room, and use up food from the freezer. Notify your landlord or letting agent if you're renting.

2 Weeks Before

Update your address with banks, GP, DVLA, and subscriptions. Arrange post redirection with Royal Mail, and start collecting boxes and packing materials.

1 Week Before

Begin packing non-essentials, labelling boxes by room. Confirm your booking time with ShiftMe and check parking access at both addresses.

The Day Before

Finish packing everything except overnight essentials. Defrost the freezer, take meter readings, and charge your phone.

Moving Day

Keep valuables and important documents with you. Do a final walkthrough of the old property before our team leaves, and direct our driver at the new address.

After You've Moved

Unpack your essentials box first and check appliances are working. Register with a new GP and dentist if you've moved area, and let us know how we did!
